Financial Manager

Universal Technical Resource Services Inc. UTRS is currently seeking a Financial Manager to join our team.

This position will analyze and forecast program financial performance by tracking costs and variances, identifying risks and improvement areas, and delivering clear reporting and recommendations to keep projects and budgets on track. This position will be based in Adelphi, MD, with occasional remote work.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be a key member of the Mission Support Team. Duties include:

• Review and analyze financial data to compare planned versus actual performance, identify variances, and assess financial health.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to evaluate future performance and analyze the impact of alternative scenarios.
• Track and manage program expenses across contracting, labor, hardware, software, operations, overhead, travel, and purchase cards to ensure budget compliance.
• Identify cost and schedule risk areas and provide narrative, graphical, and oral status reporting to support leadership decision-making.
• Prepare detailed budget, cost management, and performance reports, presentations with actionable recommendations and areas for improvement.
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure project costs align to approved budgets and proactively resolve discrepancies and emerging concerns.

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate

This position will require the following:

• Bachelors Degree required, related field preferred, with 4 years of experience or 8 years of additional relevant experience.
• DoD Secret security clearance Required.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and assignments in a dense environment to meet defined and/or undefined deliverables.
• Proficiency in delivering concise briefs and reports to large groups and senior leaders with strong communication skills to effectively convey complex cybersecurity concepts.
• Possess expertise in cloud technology with a strong understanding of cloud platforms, services, and best practices relevant to cybersecurity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, to efficiently manage and prioritize high volumes of email communication, ensuring timely responses and effective correspondence management.
• Familiarity with Army and DoD policies influencing the cybersecurity community, ensuring compliance and alignment with relevant regulations and directives.
• Utilize project management principles and methodologies (PMI) to effectively plan, execute, and complete tasks, ensuring efficient project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Preferred experience in using Tableau, JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Must be a US Citizen.
