The Financial Control Consultant will provide critical support in the Accounting & Finance department within the financial services industry. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Description
- Perform monthly/quarterly close functions in accordance with US GAAP
- Prepare reconciliations and reporting to ensure accuracy of the financials
- Prepare financial statements, Head Office reporting, BHC reporting and other reports, as needed
- Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact the business.

Profile
A successful Financial Control Consultant should have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- CPA preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret complex financial information
- Capacity to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities while always maintaining focus on delivering timely information to management and key stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
