Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

The Financial Analyst plays a key role in delivering in-depth financial insights and strategic advisory services to support a variety of clinical departments. This position works in close partnership with Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, and Partnership teams to optimize current operations and assist in launching new initiatives. The analyst will collaborate with both administrative and clinical personnel to uncover opportunities for cost efficiency and revenue enhancement, all while maintaining compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities


+ Design and update performance dashboards to track actual outcomes against financial, operational, and resource utilization benchmarks.


+ Handle advanced reporting requests from leadership, applying strong analytical thinking and consultative expertise.


+ Conduct monthly data audits to verify accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.


+ Build financial models and proformas to support hiring decisions for clinical and provider roles.


+ Provide training on reporting tools and partner with IT to enhance dashboard capabilities.


+ Analyze and report on productivity metrics for nursing and physician teams.


+ Review financial performance data and offer strategic recommendations for improvement.


+ Generate detailed ad-hoc reports on a monthly and annual basis in response to departmental needs.


+ Deliver data insights, variance analysis, and strategic support for budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reviews across assigned areas.


+ Collaborate with teams to identify cost-saving strategies and opportunities to increase revenue.


+ Develop financial projections for new clinical services and expansion initiatives.


+ Support new program development by assessing financial viability and reimbursement potential.


+ Contribute to strategic projects by modeling financial impact and tracking performance outcomes.


Essential Skills


+ Seven years of experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, or business administration with CPA. Ten years of experience required without Masters or CPA.


+ Familiarity with accounting procedures.


+ Strong quantitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills.


+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.


+ Ability to quickly adapt to change.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience with planning, budgeting, productivity, and forecasting systems.


+ Experience in financial analysis within a healthcare setting.


+ Ability to create complex financial models with multiple variables and assumptions.


+ Independent thinking and professional maturity to substantiate and discuss opinions.


+ Effective functional knowledge of supported departments.


+ Effective presentation skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $49.00/hr.
