Financial Analyst

Kforce's client is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team in San Francisco, CA or Rocklin, CA. This role is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

Summary: You will support financial operations within a technology-focused environment. This role is responsible for month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, while providing insights to support business and project decisions. The analyst will partner cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and product teams.

Duties Include:

• Support month-end close, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting
• Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets for technology initiatives
• Analyze project spend trends to identify cost savings, overruns, and financial risks
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial plans and performance
• Evaluate and manage contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and renewals
• Support contract labor forecasting and assist with onboarding and tracking resources
• Provide guidance on capitalization verses expense treatment in alignment with accounting standards
• Build operating budgets, including ROI analysis and project cost estimates
• Maintain and update financial data in planning and reporting tools (e.g., Essbase)
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and enhance data accuracy
• Lead financial review meetings with stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely delivery of financial outputs
