Job Description


Reporting to the Finance Business Partner Manager, the Financial Analyst serves as a key resource for both business operations and finance by applying financial insight and analysis to support the overall goals of NMS. High attention to detail, strong creativity in problem solving, and exceptional analytical and communication skills are critical for this position.


Responsibilities


+ Support business operations and finance organization with planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance analysis, cost management, internal financial reporting, investment evaluation, risk management and other strategic initiatives.

+ Enhance awareness and understanding of operating performance information and financial scenario planning on financial results.

+ Support the budgeting/planning process and monthly reforecast.

+ Provide training to department managers in areas related to actual reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

+ Build and manage financial models for business forecasting, varianceanalysis, and problem solving.

+ Produce system and user generated reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

+ Enhance processes to improve reliability and production of system and analytical reports.

+ Assist the Corporate Controller and subsidiaries with annual external audits.

+ Assist and provide support to other departments or subsidiaries accounting operations, as requested.

+ Assist with maintenance, design, training and use of forecasting and reporting software and other financial systems.

+ Assist in updating and troubleshooting forecasting efforts.

+ Assist with and/or design of ad hoc reporting and analysis.

+ Special projects and other duties may also be assigned.


Qualifications


+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field of study.

+ At least three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting, analysis, or finance experience.

+ Working knowledge of accounting systems, GAAP and internal controls.

+ Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

+ Must be a self-starter and work well independently and in a team environment.

+ Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational and leadership skills.

+ Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

+ Experience using ERP systems.


Preferred Qualifications


+ MBA preferred.

+ Deltek Costpoint.

+ Experience with forecasting software such as Workday Adaptive Planning.
