Overview:In this role, responsibilities will include helping members and/or new clients by assessing their financial goals, needs and objectives while providing them with exceptional personalized service and investment products.
Responsibilities:- Identifies and evaluates customer needs for financial services, assess the objectives and goals of the individual, then develops an investment strategy to implement.
- Analyzes client financial information (including assets, income, debts and other liabilities, cash flow, and tax status), investment objectives and goals and determining which financial products best meet individual customers’ needs and financial circumstances. This includes comparing and evaluating possible investment options for individual clients, identifying investment strategies and potential investments based on market conditions and clients’ particular circumstances, and assessing the timing of investments by analyzing market conditions to determine the optimum times to conduct securities transactions for clients.
- Collects (either in person or by telephone) client financial information (including assets, income, debts and other liabilities, cash flow, and tax status), investment objectives and goals.
- Advises customers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products.
- Services and performs periodic reviews of existing client accounts and meets with clients periodically to review and update client needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan. Meetings to take place either monthly, quarterly and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Representative.
- Stays current and analyzes market conditions and otherwise educating and updating themselves about financial and investment vehicles in the market and the tax and securities consequences to clients of particular investments. Attends training and/or completing required continuing education and keeps current on investment products and services offered. Meets regularly with Program Manager and trains, if necessary, with Program Manager.
- Drives investment and program integration initiatives with credit union and/or assigned bank program (includes branch personnel training). Provides regular feedback to the branch employees, identified credit union executives and sales manager regarding sales practices and business development initiatives.
- Work with Financial Center Managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
- Supports all product and campaign launches. Markets, services, and promote financial services and products, including prospecting new clients through marketing, call outs, etc, and scheduling appointments.
- Remains visible to the appropriate segments of the public in order to meet and to retain potential new clients for, including conducting client workshops/seminars on various topics (i.e. Social Security, Education planning, Retirement planning, etc.)
- Brings about the purchase or sale of financial product including executing the actual transactions that result from their financial advice. Follows through on the sales goals set forth by the Investment Program.
- Develops/updates business plan with Program Manager.
- Identifies and develops relationships with Wholesalers.
- Follows the rules and regulations set forth by the credit union, FINRA, SEC and the Broker/dealer.
- Represents the firm and assigned financial institution in relationships with major clients, industry organizations, regulatory bodies, and other key outside parties
- Sets and keeps consistent office hours at designated branch(es).

Minimum completion of a 4-year degree in finance, business or related field required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the financial services field. Related member service experience helpful.
Proficient in MS applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Excellent working knowledge of financial institution products and services, as well as, life insurance, annuity and securities products. Proficient in operational procedures related to member accounts. Strong practical understanding of general economic principles relating to all aspects of personal finance.
Possess FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 (or 66), Life and Health Insurance licenses. All employees must disclose any criminal history with broker/dealer. All individuals will be fingerprinted, as mandated by the FINRA Books and Records rule. All fingerprint submissions are processed through the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Department of Justice and results are returned to broker/dealer via electronic notification. Any criminal history not previously disclosed to broker/dealer can result in disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination.

- Ability to communicate successfully and in a professional manner with clients, above average math aptitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent decision making and problem-solving skills, superior amount of computer literacy and proofreading capabilities and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of financial institution products and services, as well as, life insurance, annuity, and securities products.
- Proficient in operational procedures related to member accounts.
- Strong practical understanding of general economic principles relating to all aspects of personal finance.

$32.50 / hr
This role offers a competitive compensation plan that includes a base salary combined with a variable compensation plan based on production and gross revenue generated by the assigned territory, with on-target earnings.
