About the role:
The Financial Accounting Manager will lead core accounting operations with a focus on claims accounting, financial accuracy and continuous process improvement. This hands-on leader will oversee daily transactional activity, month‑end close processes, team development and cross‑functional collaboration to support the growth of TQL's financial organization.

What you'll do:
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day claims accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial transaction recording
- Oversee month‑end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies, ensuring strong accounting controls
- Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Support implementation of new tools, technologies and automation to improve efficiency and reduce expense
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, finance and technology teams
- Set team goals, coach and develop staff and ensure performance metrics are met
- Prepare and review reporting to support audits, business partners and executive leadership
- Stay current with industry trends, financial regulations and best practices
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Leadership experience managing accounting teams in a high‑volume environment
- Strong GAAP knowledge and ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills; exposure to BI tools a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with a high standard of accuracy
- Process improvement or automation project experience
