Position Summary:
We are seeking a Finance Project Manager to join a leading global technology organization delivering innovative software and cloud-based solutions. This consultant will lead a high-impact, cross-functional compliance initiative supporting the implementation of new California tax legislation affecting digitally delivered software and SaaS offerings. The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise Project Manager with a proven ability to drive execution, governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery across complex organizations.
_This is a hybrid position working on-site three (3) days per week in Santa Clara, California._
Essential Duties:
·        Lead enterprise-wide implementation of a major regulatory compliance initiative.
·        Develop and manage project plans, milestones, timelines, budgets, and dependencies.
·        Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Tax, IT, Product, Legal, and Operations.
·        Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide project status updates.
·        Monitor project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies throughout delivery.
·        Support system, process, and policy changes impacting tax, invoicing, and reporting.
·        Drive testing, change management, and implementation readiness activities.
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
·        Minimum 8 years of Project Management experience leading enterprise initiatives.
·        Experience delivering large regulatory, compliance, ERP, finance transformation, or technology implementation projects.
·        PMP certification is preferred but not required.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
·        Experience leading enterprise-level projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, governance, and delivery.
·        Experience with project planning, governance, scheduling, milestone management, and project reporting.
·        Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies.
·        Experience supporting financial systems, ERP, or enterprise technology implementation projects.
·        Experience using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and other project management and reporting tools.
·        Experience with organizational change management, implementation planning, and business readiness activities.
·        Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
·        Experience providing cross-functional leadership across business, technology, and operational teams.
·        Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all organizational levels.
·        Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
·        Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex project challenges.
·        Self-motivated professional with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $85 – 100.
