    Description

Amazon"s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to lead the AI Transformation within US Non-Sortable Finance. This role will drive the deployment of AI solutions that automate repetitive finance workflows, reorient capacity toward strategic analysis, and position NACF Finance as an AI-native organization. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-powered finance solutions-from ideation through production deployment-partnering with the Solutions Team, Standardization & Automation (S&A), and NACF Finance leadership to scale intelligent automation across a 300+ person organization. Because your work directly reshapes how Finance operates-from daily deep dives to weekly business reviews to labor planning inspections-you will be at the center of one of the most consequential capability transformations in Amazon Finance.

    Success in Role:

You are passionate about applied AI and its potential to transform finance operations. You have a builder mentality with a strong bias for action and a track record of shipping solutions that create measurable business value. You can translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders, and you thrive at the intersection of finance domain expertise and emerging technology. You work backwards from the hours trapped in low-judgment, repetitive work and approach automation opportunities with a first-principles mindset. You understand that AI transformation is not about adding tools to existing workflows but about fundamentally redesigning work around AI capabilities. You think big about the future of finance while maintaining rigorous quality standards, and you build trust by ensuring human-in-the-loop validation before any AI output reaches stakeholders. You are a continuous learner who stays current on rapidly evolving AI platforms and adapts strategy accordingly.

    Key job responsibilities

    AI Solution Development & Deployment:

    • Own the strategy and delivery of agentic AI solutions targeting the reorientation of tens of thousands of hours annually from repetitive tasks toward strategic finance work
    • Lead development of AI assistants for core finance workflows
    • Define minimum lovable product (MLP) scope, accuracy thresholds, and launch gates for each AI solution, ensuring human-in-the-loop validation before stakeholder deployment
    • Partner with S&A to transition validated prototypes into production-grade systems; own business requirements and user acceptance criteria
    • Manage the AI incubation pipeline from ideation through orchestration, evaluating technical feasibility, business impact, and scalability of proposed solutions

    Governance, Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership:

    • Own signature projects on the NACF Finance AI roadmap in partnership with S&A, ensuring alignment with WW Stores GenAI strategy and WWASF AI Transformation Tenets
    • Govern AI deployment through defined quality gates: automatability assessment, data readiness validation, and trust infrastructure requirements
    • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to identify high-ROI automation opportunities and build stakeholder trust
    • Maintain technology strategy alignment with Amazon-native tools (Quick, Orcha, Mentor, REI) while preserving flexibility to adapt as the AI landscape evolves

    A day in the life

No day is truly the same in this role. You"ll set strategic direction for AI transformation across NACF Finance while staying hands-on in solution development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. This entails reviewing prototype progress with S&A, facilitating working sessions, presenting AI deployment updates to NACF Leadership, partnering with S&A on production scaling, and ensuring AI solutions meet accuracy and timeliness standards. You balance long-term roadmap planning with the urgency of near-term MLP launches.

    About the team

This role sits US Non-Sortable Network Finance and partners closely with the NACF Finance Transformation team, Standardization & Automation (S&A), Regional Finance, and Central Verticals. The pillar leads the execution of NACF Finance"s 2026 AI strategy, advancing from grassroots tool adoption to agentic AI deployment at scale. The role is critical in positioning NACF Finance at the forefront of AI-native operations, creating enduring automation that frees capacity for strategic partnership and positions the organization for the leaner, more strategic finance team envisioned for 2027 and beyond.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
