Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience in financial modeling.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a corporate financial planning and analysis at a fast paced/high growth technology company preferably in Hardware Finance or Operations space.
  • Experience with regularly presenting to executive management.
  • Experience in management, reporting and analysis on Product Costing and Other Cost of Goods using AI tools, SAP, and tableau.
  • Excellent business judgment and conviction skills to communicate and influence business partners.
  • Ability to be organized, strategically focused, and detail oriented to work with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills with a track record of partnership and collaboration across stakeholders.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one of Google’s most exciting product areas -- Platforms and Devices Product Area. This area includes Pixel phones, Pixel Buds, Pixel Watch, Fitbit, Nest Cameras and many more. Your responsibilities will include designing/improving critical financial infrastructure to support the business, track performance and optimize cost structures.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build complex models and provide investigative assistance on business cases related to Cogs opportunities, feature tradeoffs, operational process improvements and optimization on finance and business infrastructure.
  • Establish and track cost goals, balance sheet health checks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor Cost of Goods Sold (Cogs) and Operating Cost of Goods Sold (OCOGs) performance trends, minimize Excess and Obsolete (E&O) and optimize parts consumption trends.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain and Operations, and other finance teams to improve existing and implementing new initiatives to increase business efficiency and enable growth.
  • Participate in discussions to guide and Influence decision making through investigative insight into profit and loss, profitability optimization and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage the full operational cadence, including the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan.
