The Amazon Robotics team own Amazon"s worldwide packaging strategy. It designs and drives adoption of packaging materials and technologies which lower Amazon's cost structure, unlock additional selection, and improve customer experience. They design and develop packaging work cells that can retrofit into existing buildings and incorporated into the designs of next generation of buildings.

Amazon Robotics Finance seeks a Finance Manager to own Manual Packaging and Packaging Materials. This role partners with the business to develop Amazon"s strategy for packaging materials and to drive improvements across manual packaging processes. The Finance Manger is responsible for evaluating capital investment in new materials or packaging systems in order to measure return on investment. The Finance Manager is responsible for OP planning and quarterly guidance cycles, month-end controllership, and variance analysis. The Finance manager will partner with the team, which includes materials scientists and process engineering, to design and build Amazon's next generation of packaging materials and processes.

Key job responsibilities

  • Creating, improving, and maintaining financial forecast and analysis of Shipping Supplies for US and CA.
  • Partnering with senior leaders in the Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation team, and the Global Procurement team to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Driving the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans, 3-year Strategic Plan, Long Range Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Completing cost / benefit analyses and communicate key drivers / inputs to support business decisions.
  • Facilitating financial review meetings with business groups and working with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
  • Maintain controllership of Ship Supplies by driving month-end reviews of compliance processes, and creating month-end accruals.
  • Leading strategic projects.
