    Description

    The North America Center of Excellence (HCE) team supports headcount and cost related activities for all roles within our NA Operations across multiple logistics and fulfillment businesses. Our finance team partners with the business to support this rapidly expanding business while continuing to delight our customers. You will make history as you help build one of the largest networks on the planet.

    The team seeks a Finance Manager to join the NA Operations HCE to support one of our growing and expanding businesses.     This role partners closely with a broad range of finance and operations leaders who share a common goal of delivering the Best in Class delivery experience. The role will be in direct support of both business and finance stakeholders in North America and other countries owning resource staffing models, reporting, headcount resource decisions, standardization, automation, and planning. This role will also design, develop, and maintains performance measurements to drive strategy on resource deployment to continuously improve the economics of the business.

    The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment, collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.     Key job responsibilities

    • Identifies basic control risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements process improvement framework to remediate gaps
    • Contributes to weekly/monthly financial close
    • Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations
    • Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner
    • Identifies and implements solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes
    • Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently across a team. Prioritizes work, resolves issues, meets deadlines, and seeks feedback from your manager. Discerns between urgent and non-urgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them
    • Ability to interact with a variety of data sources to assess incomplete or inaccurate data and drive scalable mechanisms to understand root causes of data issues, escalates discrepancies, fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution
    • Drives own self-development in the finance community: seeks opportunities to expand finance expertise
    • Participates in events, initiatives, and projects, then shares gained knowledge in and outside of the team
    • Balances work life harmony across the team by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influence to new team members
