The position of Finance Director/Assistant Town Administrator offers a salary range of $126,000-$146,000.
- The role involves overseeing municipal finances, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, tax collection, payroll, and treasury functions.
- It requires working closely with various boards and departments to support strategic decision-making, modernization, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- The incumbent prepares the annual town budget ($21M), manages audits, and ensures accurate financial operations and reporting.
- The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, with at least five years of governmental finance experience and supervisory skills. Familiarity with municipal accounting systems and software such as Munis, BS&A, and Crystal Reports is highly desirable.
- This role also serves as a backup in the absence of the Town Administrator and involves managing treasury functions, investments, and cash flow analysis.
