Piper Companies is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a long-term opportunity with a leading tobacco manufacturer in Greensboro, NC. The Finance Business Partner will support commercial performance by partnering closely with Sales & Marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support focused on FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, this position follows a hybrid schedule with onsite presence required two days per week.
Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while maintaining ownership of FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, forecasting tools, ROI analyses, and scenario planning models using Excel, SAP BPC, and SAP Analytics solutions.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, People & Culture, and other business leaders to support data-driven decision-making and identify revenue growth opportunities.
- Analyze business performance, investigate variances, and provide actionable recommendations related to volume, pricing, product mix, costs, and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement through KPI development, reporting enhancements, process optimization, automation, and improved financial visibility across the organization.
Qualifications of the Finance Business Partner:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior Finance Business Partner experience.
- Experience with FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital.
- Experience working with SAP and/or SAP BPC.
- Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling experience.
Compensation for the Finance Business Partner:
- Salary: $170,000
