Responsibilities:
Complete complex accounting analyses requiring independent application of accounting theory.
Prepare and analyze estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt reserves.
Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements.
Prepare and maintain annual budgets.
Prepare Federal, State, and Local tax returns.
Complete COPN regulatory reporting and cost analyses.
Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations.
Assess accounting functions and recommend process improvements.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to leadership.
Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, taxing authorities, consultants, auditors, and company leadership.
Maintain financial reporting accuracy and compliance.
Support cost analysis and budget planning initiatives.
Assist with audit preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.
Evaluate accounting processes and implement operational improvements where appropriate.
Requirements:
Education – Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting OR
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business with an Accounting concentration (approximately 21 accounting credit hours)
Experience – Required:
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience involving:
Financial analysis
Budgeting
Financial statements
Account reconciliations
Variance analysis
Financial reporting
Technical Skills:

Financial analysis and reporting tools
ERP and accounting systems experience preferred
