A day in the field
Start your week at our Louisville, KY shop, prepping gear and reviewing prints. Some days you’ll hit the road—about 30–35% of your year—to join our project teams at client sites. When you travel, Travel Pay and Per Diem are involved. On non-travel days, you’ll work in the shop, sharpening your craft and supporting builds from the ground up.
What you’ll tackle
- Execute high-quality welds at customer locations and in the shop while following strict safety and quality procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings to plan and perform precise welds.
- Apply multiple welding techniques to meet job specs and site conditions.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain, set up, and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure reliability.
- Coordinate with project managers and teammates to hit scope, schedule, and quality targets.
- Respond to short-notice travel needs with a flexible, solutions-first mindset.
- Communicate clearly with clients on progress, issues, and next steps.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding vocational training preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on welding experience across varied environments.
- Proficiency across multiple welding processes.
- Strong command of safety standards and best practices.
- Fluent in reading/understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to changing work settings.
- Clear communicator with a customer-focused approach.

When you’re not traveling
Any time you are not on the road you will be working in shop. Expect steady, hands-on work supporting ongoing builds and pre-fab tasks.
