ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, repairing and maintaining tools in the field, delivering tools while visiting jobsites, and updating jobsite tool lists.
  • Responsible for scheduling regular jobsite visits to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • While on jobsites tool tracking information should be confirmed for accuracy and the system updated as necessary. This includes welders, trailers, ladders, etc.
  • Check with the tool room to see if any tools need to be delivered to the scheduled jobsite.
  • Confirm all tools are in good working order before leaving the jobsite.
  • Make recommendations to replace tools as necessary.
  • Ensure the service truck is fully stocked with repair parts and spare tools.
  • Work in the tool room repairing tools and re-stocking service truck on days when not going to jobsites.
  • Notify Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Manager of any damaged, stolen, or missing tools.
  • Review potential new tools for commercial grade durability and job requirements.
  • Make tool recommendations based on input from managers and field employees.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Assist in stock pulls needed.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary.
  • Assist in the upfitting of vehicles.
  • Cross train in all aspects of warehouse to qualify as a backup as needed.
 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • 2 years of experience in repairing small equipment and tools.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and familiar with Share My Toolbox app.
  • Class D driver’s license.
  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; stand for long periods of time.
  • Comply with all B&I safety procedures. 
  • Drug test, background check and a clean driving record are pre-employment requirements.

Tool List will be provided.

The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the role’s application of tasks 
This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
