**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

**

The Field Technician Manager leads and performs skilled facilities maintenance work at A-Prime’s client sites within the New England region. This role will act as the manager of a team of specialized technicians as well as the expert in multiple technical trades covered by A-Prime. The Lead will perform these tasks while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with other departments, partnering most closely with the client service department. Trades covered by A-Prime include all commercial doors, balers & compactors, forklifts, vertical transportation, conveyors, and dock equipment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:

**

  • Serve as the day-to-day subject matter expert on routine repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate and schedule field operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide oversight of tech repairs, including quality and completion checks
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs
  • Track and manage the use of materials and resources efficiently
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance and repair tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service to facility staff and address their maintenance needs promptly
  • Communicate effectively with staff and other departments regarding maintenance schedules and activities
  • Engage in ongoing professional development/training and maintain role-specific certifications
  • Assist with departmental projects, as needed, to support and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan

**CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of retail facilities and associated equipment

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment, as well as work order management systems and technology

  • Welding

**PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly
  • Ability to handle frequent bending, climbing, and reaching
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment
