Overview:

We are seeking a motivated IT Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support for a national home improvement retail client. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within defined service levels

  • Travel daily within a 25-100+ mile radius to service client locations

  • Document all work performed, including issues, resolutions, and ticket updates

  • Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues

  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users

  • Support cabling work including copper and fiber (terminations preferred)

  • Ensure timely completion of service calls and maintain high customer satisfaction

  • Occasionally work at heights (20-25 feet); training provided

  • Understand basic AC/DC and backup power concept

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 1 year of IT technical support experience

  • CompTIA A+ certification (required)

  • CompTIA Network+ (preferred)

  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems

  • Familiarity with networking and hardware troubleshooting

  • Strong time management and documentation skills

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
