Our client is currently seeking a qualified  Field Technician 1 to join their team  onsite in Edison, NJ, and provide end-user support. Once the project is completed, if the site determines the Field Tech is no longer needed, this role will transition into the field. Once in the field, the Field Tech will service multiple different customers and join the on-call rotation. Candidates must have reliable transportation, ability to work after hours, excellent customer service skills, ability to climb a ladder once moved into the field, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and crawl on the floor under furniture.


As a Field Technician, you will serve as the primary onsite contact for technical and service-related issues. Collaboration with Level II or Lead Technicians may be required to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.


Duties and Responsibilities:


• Diagnose and resolve issues with printers, kiosks, and POS systems.

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.

• Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance.

• Deliver clear technical assistance to customers onsite and over the phone.

• Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards.

• Computer / Laptop break-fix support and network cable repair experience required when sent into the field.


Skills and Qualifications:


• Strong knowledge of printers, computer hardware, and software.

• 2+ years of experience repairing laser printers.

• 1+ year of experience repairing wide-format printers.

• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.

• Physical capability to lift to 50 lbs.



Wage Range : 


The hourly rate for this position is between $16.50 - $24.20 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
