Our client is currently seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in the Batavia, NY area and provide end-user support. The ideal candidate must possess a valid driver's license, clean MVR and reliable transportation.
 
This Technician will serve as the primary onsite contact for technical and service-related issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing, and repairing laser printers, wide-format printers, kiosks, POS systems, and related hardware / software. Collaboration with Level II or Lead Technicians may be required to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. This tech will be dispatched to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain multiple devices, from Network Multi-function devices to large format printers, and related photo lab equipment, along with the supported infrastructure and equipment installations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with printers, kiosks, and POS systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
  • Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance
  • Deliver clear technical assistance to customers onsite and over the phone
  • Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards
 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Fuji, Lexmark, and Xerox printers
  • Background in laser and wide format printer repair
  • Electromechanical experience a plus
  • Experience with drilling into marble is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of printers, computer hardware, and software
  • Mechanically inclined and can use a drill and different bits
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Maintain a clean workspace during and after repair
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 
 
Wage Range:
The rate for this position is between $17.25 - $23.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
