We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Supervisor to join our team and oversee the successful execution of our projects.

Job Summary The Field Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating with project managers, directing site personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and specifications.
  • Direct and manage site personnel, including subcontractors, laborers, and equipment operators, ensuring efficient and productive work.
  • Enforce all safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Identify and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise, escalating to project managers as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any incidents or delays, reporting to project managers regularly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the project management team and on-site workers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to site personnel, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Field Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Valid drivers license, ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
