Field Service Technician

Summary:

• Location: Stone Mountain, GA
• Duration: 6 Months
• 7am-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday
• OT on Fridays or rain make-up days
• Contractor must be flexible to work from multiple locations in Stone Mountain or other areas in Georgia

Responsibilities:

• Execute field service activities at customer sites safely and efficiently
• Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture
• Take care of company property
• Troubleshoot systems for mechanical and electrical equipment conditions
• Identify and remedy safety issues on both company and customer-owned equipment
• Directly interface with customers, potentially at multiple sites with various technologies
• Inspect valves and service hydrants

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card
• Technical experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
• Customer service experience
• Demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
• Able to pass a credit check
• Able to obtain a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements
• Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
• Must be able to walk, write, and type frequently
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs
• Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
• May work indoors and outdoors as needed, with exposure to extreme temperatures
• May work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection
• May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt
• Work surfaces may include concrete
• Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
• Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to maintain a company vehicle
