Field Service Technician

Pay: $20-$28/hour + $3/hour travel differential

Watson Custom Tanks is growing, and we're looking for a Field Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. With over 100 years of combined experience in custom tank manufacturing, our team is known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions-and we need someone who can represent that standard in the field.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site technical support and customer service
- Install, repair, and maintain equipment at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and performance issues
- Perform field testing to ensure proper operation
- Create detailed service reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams
- Build strong, professional relationships with customers
What You Bring
- 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience
- Ability to travel 60-75% (multi-day trips, short notice)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience with preventative maintenance practices
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG, stainless preferred)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Physical & Work Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs and work in active industrial environments
- Stand, walk, crouch, and work with hands for extended periods
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
