Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with vehicle communication systems and a strong ability to troubleshoot and make decisions. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills as you will interact directly with customers. The position involves travel to out-of-state locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with vehicle communication systems, such as J-1939 or J-1708 protocol or similar.
  • Provide service and maintenance on vehicles including buses, trains, autos, trucks, military vehicles, or aircraft.
  • Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to interpret issues and make informed decisions.
  • Engage with customers effectively, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience with vehicle communication systems is preferred.
  • Background in servicing buses, trains, autos, trucks, military vehicles, or aircraft is ideal.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Willingness to travel out-of-state.
  • CDL (Class A or B) is ideal but not required.
  • ASE certification is a major plus but not mandatory.
  • Must possess a laptop or smartphone with solid computer skills.
