We offer:  

  • Training period: comprehensive 10-week training period - 8 weeks in the field working side by side with a dedicated trainer & 2 weeks classroom-based training in Loveland, CO. 

  • 3 days off per week! After completion of training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand.

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants). 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work. 

  • Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems. 

  • Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc....Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2) * 

  • Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure. 

  • Follows safe work practices according to company policy. 

  • Executes administrative activities in support of service visits. 

  • Daily travel to customer sites. This role will be based in the West Palm Beach, FL area and supports our customers throughout the territory. 

  • Expect a minimum of 50% overnight travel. Company-paid travel, accommodations, and meals are provided for overnight stays. You can expect to have 1 or 2 overnight stays per week. 

 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • HS Diploma required; Associates/technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.

  • 2+ years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.

  • This position requires occasional rental of vehicles or booking of hotel rooms for business travel.  A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to rent a car and/ or hotel rooms under applicable state law are required.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office.

  • On average, 50% of weekly travel will include overnight stays.

  • Occasional travel to other states within the region is expected, with trips lasting up to one week at a time.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $31.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
