The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Technicians operate in the field, often independently, diagnosing issues and ensuring equipment performs reliably while providing a positive customer experience.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues in the field
Install and commission new equipment, including setup, adjustments, and testing
Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and service reports in internal systems
Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, recommend solutions, and provide basic training on equipment use and care
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and service quality during all customer interactions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery and resolution of complex issues
Participate in on-call rotations or extended hours as needed to support business and customer demands

Qualifications & Skills

2+ years experience in a field service, maintenance, or technical repair role preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical or electromechanical systems
Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively
Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including outdoor conditions and active job sites
Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as part of regular job duties
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic proficiency with mobile devices or service software for reporting and documentation
