Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician

Direct Hire Opportunity | High-Tech International Manufacturer

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer or Field Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a global, high-tech company delivering advanced laser technology solutions to the Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, and Scientific Research industries.

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $32–$45/hour (based on experience)

  • Overtime & Per Diem Available

  • Full Benefits Package, including:

    • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD)

  • Relocation Package: $10,000–$15,000 for qualified candidates, which includes:

    • 4–8 weeks of apartment or extended-stay housing

    • 6–8 weeks of car rental


 Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers across North America as part of the technical service team

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment to high-quality standards

  • Perform basic retrofits and software installations

  • Provide customer training on equipment operation and maintenance

  • Complete service documentation accurately and on time

  • Work independently to resolve technical issues while maintaining strong customer relationships

  • Participate in an initial 5–6 month training program, with ongoing training on new and existing products

  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management


✅ Qualifications

  • Associate degree (2-year) in Engineering or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Strong electrical and computer systems knowledge with advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Prior experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment


✈️ Travel Requirements

  • 100% travel within North America to support customer sites and possible international

  • Occasional overnight stays required

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. passport

  • Must be able to rent automobiles
