Job Description Precision Staffing is currently hiring a Field Service Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading industrial equipment environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial centrifuges, dryers, and other rotating equipment. The position begins onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, with no travel required during the temporary period. Upon full-time hire (typically within 6–12 months), the role transitions into a travel-based position with 65%–75% travel across the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international assignments.

Pay Rate: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Status: Temp-to-Hire (No travel during temporary period;travel required after conversion)
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial centrifuges, dryers, and rotating equipment in both field and shop settings
Perform vibration analysis and mechanical diagnostics
Conduct scheduled maintenance, including teardown, inspection, and reassembly of equipment
Interpret mechanical cross-section and assembly drawings
Measure and verify close tolerances; understand shafting, bearing, seal fits, and gearboxes
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and fault analysis
Complete detailed service reports and inspection documentation
Support in-house rebuilds including parts identification and quoting support
Participate in ongoing technical training (in-house and field-based)
Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial maintenance or rotating equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical drawings
Experience with precision measurement tools and mechanical tolerances
Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
PLC experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to pass drug screening
Willingness to travel extensively after conversion to full-time status
