Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Field Service Technician performs on-site repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of insulation processing equipment. This role operates from a fully equipped service vehicle and travels to customer locations to ensure equipment operates efficiently, minimizing downtime while completing additional assigned tasks as needed.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :


+ Travel to customer sites within the assigned region using the company-provided service vehicle, ensuring the vehicle remains stocked with required tools and parts.

+ Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, recommending and performing appropriate repairs or part replacements. Provide onsite mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance for various insulation processing equipment.-

+ Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and ensure optimal performance.-

+ Provide emergency support for urgent breakdowns or critical service issues

+ Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and the service coordinator to schedule, update, and prioritize service appointments

+ Maintain accurate and detailed service records, repair notes, and customer interaction logs.

+ Manage and maintain parts inventory within the service vehicle, ensuring tools and equipment remain in working condition.

+ Support future SAP integration initiatives related to service operations.

+ Work in a safe and timely manner in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines.

+ Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.

+ Clean and maintain the work area, tools, and assigned equipment.

+ Educate customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

+ Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.


+ H.S. Diploma or GED, Required

+ Previous mechanical work experience (2 to 3 years)

+ Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools such as drives, ratchets, drills, and saws

+ Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, Field Service Technician, or similar role

+ Basic blueprint reading

+ Must pass the company required Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

+ Must have possessed a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.

+ Required to travel to customer locations

+ Overnight stays will be required depending on assignment.-
