Field Service Technician 2Full Time - Bronx, NY, USSalary: $28.00 To $31.00 AnnuallyJob SummaryRochester Midland Corporation is a chemical manufacturing company headquartered in Rochester, New York and provides water treatment, food and safety beverage sanitation, hygiene solutions, and sustainable cleaning technologies.Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician II to provide service and consultation to all contracted Water Treatment accounts in Bronx, NY. Field service 2 would be a physical tower cleaner which would require power washing the inside of the cooling towers as well as boilers. This position requires climbing ladders, be able to physically lift the power washer machines. If used as a floater they will be required to service both boilers and cooling towers.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop positive relationships by maintaining continuing contact with accounts to promote the Company's productsSchedule and perform service routesProvide services to customers in accordance with the Division's Minimum Service StandardsIdentify potential business opportunities and transfers to salesHandle and install various chemical dispensing and application equipmentHandle and apply treatment products in an environmentally safe mannerInstalls and repairs all chemical feed, dispensing, application and control equipmentPerform chemical cleanings and power washings of customer equipmentProperly care for and maintain all Company-owned equipment including tools, instruments, safety equipment and vehiclesComply with company safety standards including safe vehicle operationComplete all administrative requirements including basic skills/safety training coursesEnsure regular communication with service team members and sales personnelOther similar and comparable duties as required and assignedEducationHigh school or technical school diploma requiredExperienceMaintenance, sanitation, and water treatment experience preferred.Basic pipe fitting and electrical ability requiredSkillsMechanical, plumbing, and electrical skillsCompetent use of tools & safety equipmentUnderstanding of water treatment, cooling towers, and heating systemsExperience in maintenance and repairs – CIP, plumbing and electrical experienceCompetenciesEffective communication (Verbal, Listening & Written)Analytical & Problem SolvingCustomer/Vendor Relationship and solution focusedDrive for resultsAction OrientedCritical thinkingPlanning & Priority SettingTechnical KnowledgeTeamworkTrustPhysical Requirements / Working ConditionsSit or stand for extended periods of timeCapability to move up to 60 lbs. by hand and 300lbs with use of hand truckAbility to climb stairs and laddersVisual acuity necessary to utilize computers and electronic devicesExtra hours and some travel may be requiredSafety ResponsibilitiesEmployee shall be familiar and comply with all safety policies and procedures of the company.We're an equal opportunity employer.
