Widescope is seeking a Field Service Representative to support the United States Air Force in advancing cloud-based command and control (CBC2) capabilities aligned with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision.

This role supports mission-critical systems requiring secure access, strict compliance, and hands-on infrastructure expertise across enterprise environments.

Critical / Non-Negotiable Requirements (MUST HAVES):

  • Active Secret Clearance
    • Required for role eligibility and system access
    • Canddiates must already hold or be elibile and able to obtain immediately
  • AWS Experience
  • Kubernetes / containerization exposure
  • Microservices architecture familiarity

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day operational support, maintenance, and upgrades for enterprise systems, servers, and workstations

  • Manage and administer Windows Server environments (physical and virtual)

  • Configure and maintain Active Directory, including:

    • Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

    • DNS, DHCP, and domain services

  • Manage user permissions, access controls, and storage systems (e.g., NTFS, network shares)

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and reliability

  • Execute system backups, recovery processes, and data integrity controls

  • Support system modernization and infrastructure improvements

  • Maintain compliance with IT policies, security standards, and configuration management practices

Required Technical Experience (Heavy Evaluated):

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Windows Server administration
    • Active Directory environments
    • Permissions and storage managment (NTFS, file shares, etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure in secure environments
  • Ability to clearly articulate step-by-step technical approaches ("walk me thorugh how you would...")

Preferred / Supporting Experience

  • Experience with Azure cloud environments and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)

Additional Considerations

  • Prior military or government experience is a plus but not required
  • Candidates must demonstrate ability to operate in structured, security-sensitive environments
  • Older infrastructure experience is acceptable if the candidate can clearly demonstrate current applicability and depth of knowledge
  • Must be able to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
    • Required for system access and permissions

This role prioritizes security compliance (SEC+ and clearance) and hands-on Windows/Active Directory infrastructure expertise above all else. Candidates should be prepared for scenario-based technical interviews to validate real-world capabilities.
