The Opportunity

The Field Service Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations and provides direct supervision to maintenance technicians to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient building system performance. This role supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities, assists with scheduling and resource coordination, and serves as a technical lead for troubleshooting and operational support. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with hands-on leadership and a focus on team development and service quality.

What you will do?

Leadership & Team Support

  • Supervise and support maintenance technicians, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.

Operational Oversight

  • Support preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders and repair activities.
  • Assist technicians with troubleshooting and resolution of routine and moderately complex maintenance issues.
  • Monitor maintenance activities to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Assist with implementing corrective actions and maintaining regulatory compliance documentation.

Resource Coordination

  • Support inventory tracking and coordination of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and service scheduling as needed.
  • Monitor labor utilization and help maintain operational efficiency.

Customer & Team Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day maintenance escalations and operational issues.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Provide regular updates regarding maintenance activities and operational concerns.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and team efficiency.
  • Assist with tracking maintenance performance metrics and completing operational reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities operations, including prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or technical training preferred in Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent hands-on maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and general safety compliance standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data center operations, maintenance, or field service environments preferred.
