We are seeking an energetic, structured, and detail-oriented Field Service Engineer with a strong passion for problem-solving. The role involves driving continual customer-focused service improvements and supporting business and technology change. As a member of the Field Service Team, you will be responsible for supporting the daily usage of IT and software services, maintaining direct relationships across business and tech enterprise teams, and ensuring the stability and performance of IT and software equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT and software services.
• Coordinate with business and technology teams to ensure service excellence.
• Set up and configure mobile phones and other devices.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical assistance.
• Maintain a stable, performant, and operational IT environment.

Essential Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on technical support and help desk.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in software and hardware environments.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and MS Office.
• Knowledge of network technologies such as LAN, WAN, Wifi, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems.
• Solution-oriented approach and team player mentality.
• High operational readiness and proactive problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comptia A+ certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Good understanding of software installation and removal.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Decatur/Trinity with working hours from 8-5 or 7-4. The role involves working in a dynamic environment that requires professionalism and the ability to provide excellent technical assistance and customer service.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $35.00/hr.
