The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting advanced analytical instrumentation at customer sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term client relationships across food, agriculture, and industrial manufacturing environments.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer are:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and validation of analytical instruments and inspection systems at customer facilities
  • Execute preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair activities to ensure optimal system performance
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues in lab and in-process equipment
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, minimizing downtime
  • Train customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practice
  • Document service activities, including service reports, calibration data, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, applications, and sales) to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance
  • Support new product rollouts, upgrades, and system integration efforts

Profile

The successful Field Service Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 2+ years of experience supporting industrial equipment, analytical instrumentation or process systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with PLC systems, sensors, and controls is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, software interfaces, and calibration processes.
