Field Service Engineer – Columbus, Ohio (serving surrounding states).ResponsibilitiesInstall and service instrumentation with minimal supervision according to ISO and GMP standards, providing thorough follow‑up service to ensure customer satisfaction.Maintain proper car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical documentation, and ensure company vehicles are ready for service calls according to corporate fleet policy.Manage time and expenses, keeping all travel and site‑visit expenses within established guidelines, and handle company‑issued credit cards and travel advances.Report quality control and technical problems in detail to the Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager, and interface with other departments to resolve customer issues promptly.Represent BD by promoting and maintaining excellent customer relations with high standards of personal appearance, ethical behavior, maturity, and good judgment.Minimum RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting instruments or components.Valid driver's license required for regular travel between client sites.Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of working time.Physical capability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Preferred RequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical/biological discipline.Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer, especially with medical devices or similar technical equipment.Experience with flow cytometry technology.Experience in customer‑facing roles and strong communication skills.Proficiency with diagnostic tools (digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes), MS Office applications, and both Mac and PC operating systems.Compensation$25.20 – $40.30 USD per hourEqual Opportunity StatementBecton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
