The Field Production Foreman is “THE ONE”, with full responsibility of all phases of the job.
The following is a brief summary of the Field Production Foreman’s Job Description.
Manages the TOTAL QUALITY of the job to ensure it is done right the first time
Sets Pre-Construction Meeting
Communicate with the customer before, during, and after each job.
Assure that the job sign is in place and that company literature is passed out around the job site.
Assures that the crews are in place each day.
Oversight of Crews
Implements and upholds job safety.
Maintaining job records
Contract Additional Work Orders
Documents additional work orders, takes photos of any damaged wood, etc.
Manages all phases of project, (roofing, gutters, etc.)
Returns all folders and AWO’S to Production Manager for Invoicing
Responsibilities:
The Field Production Manager is responsible for the following:
1. Jobsite Planning
Receives Production folder and sets Pre-construction Meeting
Communicates with the customers
Assures that the crews are in place each day.
Plans today for tomorrow.
Coordinates job with Production Coordinator and Head of Construction.
Manages job through to successful & profitable completion
2. Job Safety
Assures all staff and crew adhere to safety standards
Assures each job is planned to minimize risk
Assures all safety equipment is at jobsite and in working order
Reports any incidents immediately to Head of Construction.
3. Quality & Productivity
Knows job specifications
Assures the job progresses according to plan
Maintains good working relationship with ALL Team Members
Improves quality by suggesting profitable additional work orders
Assures that the attitude and appearance of the production personnel, vehicles and equipment are maintained at a high level.
Assures that the jobsite is maintained, cleaned up each day and upon completion
Education, Knowledge and Skills
Must have mechanical ability, shingle roofing experience, a valid driver's license and must be 21 or older to be considered. The ability to work with others and lead by example is essential.
A Field Production Foreman should know the operation and function of each piece of equipment on the job and how to maintain the equipment for continual operation during the day without breakdowns.
Must be familiar with all aspects, terms and materials of slate and shingle roofing
