We are seeking a field operator and laboratory technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate pile drivers (Vermeer PD-10, GAYK, or similar pile driving machines for solar projects), trackhoes, rubber tire backhoes, and lull forklifts.
Working in a soils and concrete testing laboratory in Raleigh, NC.
Travel and work at various project locations across the U.S. when not working at the main Raleigh, NC office soils laboratory.
Performing basic laboratory testing including but not limited to organic content, grain size analysis, compaction, processing of material, and compression testing of concrete specimens.
Field work includes but is not limited to soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspection, and miscellaneous construction activities.
Oversee fieldwork, including soil sampling, pile testing, and site inspections.
Assist laboratory testing and equipment setup in EEDAS lab.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma.
Pile driving and heavy equipment operating experience.
NCDOT/ACI laboratory testing certifications a plus.
Experience with nuclear density gauge testing, soils and concrete sampling, grain size analysis, compaction testing, and concrete compression testing is a plus.
Experience overseeing crews, coordinating site work, and reporting inspection findings is a plus.
The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed.
Valid Driver’s license.
