About the opportunity
Join our Louisville, KY team as a Field Industrial Control Panel Technician. You’ll build, install, and service electrical control panels for customers across multiple locations, blending shop-based fabrication with on-site integration and troubleshooting. If PLCs, schematics, and multi-voltage work are your strengths—and you like to travel—this role is for you.
A day in the life
- Start by reviewing electrical schematics and job specs, confirming components and wiring plans for new builds.
- Assemble and wire control panels to exacting standards, validating continuity and labeling for clarity and safety.
- Head to customer sites to install panels, land field wiring, and commission systems across 120/208/240/480 VAC environments.
- Integrate PLC hardware and I/O, verify functionality, and assist with basic program loading or adjustments as needed.
- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep systems operating safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with teammates and customers to hit deadlines and coordinate project handoffs.
- Document work performed—from installation notes to test results—and maintain accurate service records.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Designing and building electrical panels from drawings and wiring diagrams
- Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting 120/208/240/480 V systems
- Executing electrical installations and repairs with a strong safety focus
- Partnering with the team to deliver projects on schedule
- Applying PLC-based control integration and verification
- Performing inspections and routine maintenance on panels and related systems
- Completing thorough documentation for each job
What you bring

- Proven work with 120/208/240/480 V power distribution
