This position manages projects from proposal development through final contract closeout, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.The successful candidate will work directly with customers, field personnel, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to deliver specialty projects in demanding nuclear environments. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small-company environment. This position is expected to independently manage multiple concurrent projects and support field execution activities that may require periodic travel and schedule flexibility during customer outages.Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management

    Lead projects from proposal development through final contract closeoutDevelop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirementsMonitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessaryManage project risks and develop mitigation strategiesMaintain accurate project reporting and forecasting

    Customer Management

    Serve as the primary customer interface throughout project executionLead customer meetings and progress reviewsManage requirements, scope changes, and contractual obligationsDevelop and maintain long-term customer relationships

    Field Operations

    Plan and support domestic and international field service activitiesSelect, coordinate, and manage field service personnel and subcontractorsProvide on-site leadership during project execution and outage activitiesCoordinate logistics, mobilization, and demobilization activitiesSupport troubleshooting and resolution of field issues

    Financial Management

    Develop project estimates and spend plansMonitor project budgets and cost performancePrepare project forecasts and financial reportsIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

    Proposal and Business Support

    Support proposal development and pricing activitiesParticipate in contract negotiations and project initiation activitiesAssist with strategic planning and business growth initiativesContribute to continuous improvement of project management processes

    QualificationsEducationBachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree from an accredited university.Experience

    5 to 12 years of project management experience in technical industriesExperience managing engineering projects and field execution activitiesExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer relationshipsCommercial nuclear industry experience strongly preferredCommercial nuclear outage experience highly preferredExperience managing multi-million-dollar projects preferred

    Technical Skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft ProjectStrong project scheduling and planning capabilitiesExperience with project cost tracking and forecastingFamiliarity with engineering drawings and technical documentationExperience with proposal development and project estimating preferred
