The opportunity

dcbel is looking to hire a Field Engineer - Residential Energy to work in dcbel's Revenue Team. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in enabling installer channel sales by accelerating the scale up of dcbel's installer network by having technical training directly in the field all over Canada and US East coast wherever installer customers may be located.

Main responsibilities

Enable installer channel sales

Provide on-customer premise training of new installers during onboarding

Provide technical support during installer sales outreach

Provide ad hoc technical support during demonstrations and in other partner channels as required

Key requirements

Bachelors in Engineering from top tier university or equivalent.

Demonstrable hands-on field experience supporting selling and installing of new innovative product in the residential and/or energy and troubleshooting

Working knowledge of Canadian and US electrical code

Working knowledge of power electronics

Working knowledge of IoT communication protocols

Profile

Some knowledge of EV charging communication protocols ISO 15118 and DER integration protocols IEEE 2030.5 OpenADR are a strong plus

Entrepreneurial mindset result oriented and strong EQ.

Great communication and presentation skills

Ability and willingness to travel 85% in Canada and in the US
