Field Engineer

DescriptionThe primary function of the Field Engineer is to assist the Senior Project Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Superintendent or other assigned supervisor(s) in all matters related to field activities for a specific project.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical SkillsAssist the Senior Project Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Superintendent or other assigned supervisor(s) with the initial preparation and maintenance of schedulesAssist with the development, maintenance and enforcement of project site safety programsAssist with the coordination and management of material deliveriesAssist with the implementation of SWPPP measures and documentationAssist in maintaining a complete and accurate set of working documents pertaining to the projectAssist in the coordination of all field inspections and testingPossess knowledge of all documents associated with the projectAssist in the implementation of the project specific QA/QC programManagement SkillsAssist in providing pertinent field information that could affect the Monthly Reconciliation Report accuracy and forecastsAssist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of project-specific quality control measuresAssist in the preparation and maintenance of eight-week look ahead schedulesAssist with coordination of all subcontractor activitiesAssist with the documentation of all actions dealing with actual or possible claims/legal actionAssist in the oversight & Management of laborer responsibilitiesAttend and document weekly Foreman meetingsHas the ability to lead weekly On Site Safety Meeting(s), identify safety hazards on site, complete and implement the weekly site survey(s)Assist with the timely completion of all punch lists and work completion listsPersonal AttributesEffective written and verbal language communication skillsEffective time management and organization skillsTakes initiative, strives for increased responsibility and has a desire to learnShows emotional maturity, punctuality and dependabilityShows the desire and willingness to progress to the Assistant Project Superintendent role and responsibilitiesInterpersonal SkillsEstablish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, design professionals, various WEO departments, WEO project team, inspectors, and subcontractors)Motivate and build teamwork/morale in the project teamPromote WEO Corporate Values with the project team, client and subcontractorsShow alignment with and promotes WEO Corporate ValuesQualificationsCurrently enrolled in and / or has received a Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field or 1-3 years minimum of relevant project field experience.Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).Basic familiarity with Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software and Project Management Software, such as Prolog, Viewpoint, CMiC or equivalent applications.Benefits100% ESOPCompetitive PayBonus ProgramMedical/Dental/Vision InsurancePTO/Sick100% Life Insurance401(K) with MatchStudent Debt ProgramPhysical DemandsPerformance of the required duties will require physical ability to use construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction, when visiting a WEO job site.
