Job Summary:
General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a provider of military and commercial engineering services. GA-SI is a leading-edge expert in systems integration technologies, reliability improvements, and controls system design.
This position, following established policies and practices, provides leadership, personnel management, supervision, and direction to employees in field service teams supporting deployed unmanned aircraft systems including, but not limited to, the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of assigned aviation systems and equipment. Successfully employ field service teams for contracted aviation operations worldwide. Troubleshoots or assesses technical problems and issues, determines appropriate technical advice or other solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Coordinates the development of and conducts technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors, and company representatives. Acts as local on-site company representative with customers. Ensures technical support and customer service quality is maintained
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
+ Responsible for successful management of contract field services and operations for deployed system teams, while observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
+ Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment for contract field teams in accordance with established operating procedures and practices at deployed locations worldwide.
+ Provides guidance and specialized training to customers in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques.
+ Must possess the flexibility and capability to perform a variety of non-routine tasks and demonstrate considerable organizational adaptability to changing and emergent situations.
+ Maintain security clearances and medical readiness for deployment to a variety of operating theatres
+ Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action.
+ Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.
+ Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment.
+ Coordinates logistics requirements, including but not limited to, parts shipments to and from assigned site location.
+ May participate in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management, professional, and technical talent
+ Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and six or more years of progressive technical experience in aviation maintenance, with some military aviation experience. Equivalent experience in aviation maintenance may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Education, documented experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of personnel management and/or organizational management, and successful leadership of independent field operation teams are highly desired qualifications.
+ MQ-9 or related UAS maintenance management knowledge and experience preferred, but not required.
+ Must have a thorough understanding of the practices and procedures of aviation maintenance management as well as team supervision and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
+ Must possess the ability to resolve supervisory challenges and technical problems effectively and serve as on-site spokesperson and liaison for the company.
+ Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report and assess situations and independently make sound judgments and decisions regarding company operations, customer satisfaction, and personnel management matters.
+ Must be able to effectively utilize personal leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to enable effective field service teams, satisfy customer demands, and foster informed company leadership.
+ Customer service focused, able to work on a self-initiated basis, and provide exceptional leadership in a dynamic team environment, who can work extended hours, and travel as required.
