As a member of this collaborative team, you can expect a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, and ongoing learning and career development opportunities.About The RoleThe Field Engineer intern is responsible for providing assistance to more senior staff (Senior Project Engineer, Project Managers and Superintendents) in the coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions of a project. This is a task-based role that requires working knowledge of core elements of construction projects (field management, estimating, project management).As a Field Engineer Intern At Graham, You WillPerform a variety of duties including but not limited to administrative duties, update schedules and budgets, maintain cost control, and monitor labor material and equipment activities on the projectWork with Project Managers/on-site Superintendent to update project schedule and budget to identify potential construction issuesAttend all project team meetings, and document team meetings, action items, and other pertinent project deliverables/decisionsMonitor project change management process, identify change events, submit change notices, track changes and optional changes in project scope, and present to the Project Manager when requiredAssist with drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions and change ordersSupport Project Manager and Superintendent with creating templates and supporting documents on behalf of project team regarding roles and responsibilitiesRecord change orders and update site drawingsMonitor payroll functions, cost accruals and reviews on a regular basisMaintain QA/QC and Safety recordsReview the Field Surveillance Reports (FSR) and initiate NCRs based on analysis and severity of findingsQualifications & ExperienceIn progress Trade Certification or Technical Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field experience is required.Strong presentation skills.Proficient with MS Office Suite.Proficient using scheduling and project management softwareCompensation And BenefitsExcellent Health & Dental benefits plan, Vision, and Flex Plan401(k) savings plan with employer matching upon eligibility2.5% regular earnings banked as vacationProfessional and career development opportunitiesWhat We Can Offer YouStrong commitment to safety in the workplaceGrounded and family-oriented workplace in a progressive environment that is at the forefront of a fast-evolving business sectorCommitment to the training and wealth of opportunities for career development across job categories, project types and locations around North AmericaIf this sounds like you, then Graham may be the right fit.
