(MIC) is a global technology and engineering company supporting semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, cleanroom, and mission-critical facility projects. MIC provides turnkey facility integration solutions, including cleanroom and MEP construction, DI water, gas and chemical supply systems, wastewater treatment, facility monitoring and control systems, installation, and maintenance services. Through Marketech International Corporation USA, we support major semiconductor and industrial projects across the United States.

Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer – Electrical / UPW Systems to support construction coordination, field execution, electrical troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for ultrapure water (UPW) systems supporting semiconductor and high-tech facility projects.

This role works closely with clients, system providers, general contractors, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to help ensure UPW-related work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, applicable codes, and project schedules. The Field Engineer will support installation planning, field verification, system testing, issue resolution, documentation, and construction readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical troubleshooting skills, hands-on onsite construction experience, and the ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical drawings. Experience supporting semiconductor facilities, water treatment systems, UPW systems, wastewater treatment systems, industrial utilities, or high-tech construction environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Construction Execution

  • Support construction planning, scheduling, look-ahead coordination, and progress tracking to help ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate with clients, system providers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to maintain alignment throughout project execution.
  • Work closely with project managers, mechanical teams, electrical teams, field personnel, and other disciplines to support safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Assist with construction sequencing, installation planning, work-area readiness, access requirements, material coordination, and field execution needs.
  • Participate in project meetings, contractor coordination meetings, field reviews, and progress-update discussions.
  • Identify potential field constraints, installation conflicts, schedule risks, material concerns, and coordination gaps that could affect project milestones.
  • Escalate project risks, delays, installation issues, and unresolved field concerns to the appropriate project stakeholders.

Field Operations, Testing & Commissioning

  • Support and coordinate onsite construction activities, installation sequencing, field progress, and system readiness for UPW and related utility systems.
  • Conduct site walks, field inspections, and installation verification activities to support project quality, safety, and construction readiness.
  • Lead or assist with system testing, electrical troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, functional verification, and turnover activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues involving power distribution, controls, panels, motors, sensors, instruments, equipment connections, and related UPW-system components.
  • Read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical drawings, equipment documentation, specifications, and technical work instructions.
  • Identify field issues, determine root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and support practical solutions in a timely manner.
  • Support QA/QC inspections, punch-list activities, deficiency correction, and final system readiness reviews.
  • Assist with verifying that installation work aligns with approved drawings, technical specifications, project standards, and applicable electrical requirements.

Documentation, Billing & Project Support

  • Assist with material takeoffs, cost-estimating support, procurement coordination, and material-readiness tracking.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, field records, project logs, inspection information, test results, and as-built drawings.
  • Support the review and preparation of construction documentation, commissioning records, field reports, and project closeout materials.
  • Review progress billings and verify alignment between reported work, actual field progress, completed milestones, and supporting documentation.
  • Track project-related billing information, quantities, progress updates, and cost-support documentation for management and client review.
  • Maintain organized records of field conditions, design changes, coordination issues, RFIs, action items, and required follow-up activities.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and project updates to support internal management and client communication.

Safety, Quality & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Follow company safety policies, site-specific requirements, PPE standards, electrical safety practices, and applicable client procedures.
  • Support compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, construction standards, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, QA/QC teams, project managers, and field personnel.
  • Communicate field conditions, testing status, risks, schedule impacts, and required actions clearly and professionally.
  • Support continuous-improvement efforts related to field coordination, documentation accuracy, commissioning processes, and project execution.
  • Maintain a proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented approach in a fast-paced construction environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of two years of onsite construction experience, preferably within semiconductor, industrial, high-tech facility, utility, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting, field problem-solving, and system-verification ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting onsite installation, construction coordination, testing, startup, commissioning, or field-execution activities.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal project teams.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, documentation discipline, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple priorities in an active construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting semiconductor facility, cleanroom, industrial utility, high-tech manufacturing, or mission-critical facility projects.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code requirements and electrical construction standards.
  • Basic understanding of water treatment systems, including ultrapure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, process water, or facility utility systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or related design-coordination tools.
  • Experience supporting QA/QC inspections, commissioning, startup, testing, turnover, or construction-closeout documentation.
  • Experience working with electrical controls, instrumentation, motors, panels, variable frequency drives, or facility equipment connections.
