2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsField EngineerLocation: Gilbert, AZJob ID: #71813Pay Range: $41-48 an hour, 6 month contractCitizenship: REQUIRED!Job DescriptionPerform painting duties as the secondary painter for systems and miscellaneous hardware.Perform depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M‑TADS/M‑PNVS).Perform repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance test of mechanical, structural, optical subsystems and complete systems.Operate automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and use knowledge of basic mechanical and optical theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of defective components.Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify compliance to engineering specifications and tolerances.Setup and operation of conventional milling machine and drill press to rework or repair mechanical components.Complete work in accordance with (IAW) engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs).Document work in automated maintenance data collection systems IAW Apache Fire Control processes and procedures.Provide technical feedback on electro‑mechanical and electro‑optical components to promote reliability improvements.Work with hazardous materials and chemicals, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.Perform limited supply duties (load/unload trucks), operate overhead hoists.Required Experience2-4 years experience in repairs of electro‑mechanical and electro‑optical assemblies2-4 years experience of basic avionics and electronics principles2-4 years experience with CCA component rework and repair2-4 years experience with trouble‑shooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment2-4 years experience with the operation of general purpose and/or automated test equipment2-4 years experience with interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures2-4 years experience with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift 35 poundsAbility to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirementsAbility to understand policies and procedures for the use and control of Government propertyAbility to work with hazardous materialsAbility to mix and weigh chemicalsAbility to properly safety wire assemblies and connectorsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programsDesired SkillsKnowledge of automated and/or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot 2-4 years experienceKnowledge of fault isolation for electro‑mechanical and electro‑optical components 2-4 years experienceKnowledge of concepts for hardware repair 2-4 years experienceKnowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards 2-4 years experienceMilitary flight‑line maintenance experience 2-4 years experienceCandidate will primarily serve in a depot support role, but may be asked, on a volunteer basis, to temporarily support as a Contractor Field Service Representative (CFSR) if the need arises. While not a requirement, willingness to support the CFSR role is highly encouraged. This role may involve international, domestic, or deployment‑based flight line operations.
