Role Overview

Own the field. As the Field Construction Superintendent, you are the on-site authority guiding work from groundbreaking through final handoff. You coordinate subcontractors, defend the schedule, insist on safety, and deliver the craftsmanship and professionalism that define this company.

A Day in the Life

You arrive early, walk the site, and set the tone: a quick safety huddle, a check of the day’s look-ahead, and confirmation that every trade knows what’s next. You verify materials, align inspectors, and keep communication flowing to the Project Manager so there are no surprises. Throughout the day, you document progress, direct quality checks, manage change confirmations, and keep the site clean, orderly, and safe. Before leaving, you update logs, push punch items toward completion, and upload photos so the whole team sees exactly where the job stands.

Reporting Structure

  • Department: Operations
  • Reports To: Project Manager
  • Supervises: Assistant Site Supervisor(s) and Subcontractors

What You’ll Drive

  • Day-to-day direction of subcontractors to meet plans, specs, purchase orders, and timelines.
  • Accurate daily logs covering workforce, inspections, utilities, weather, and notable events.
  • Short- and long-range scheduling; keep all trades aligned and informed.
  • Verification of subcontractor purchase orders for compliance with contracted requirements.
  • Clear, proactive updates to Project Managers and Project Coordinators on risks and impacts.
  • Change management in tandem with the Project Manager—documented before work begins.
  • Quality control from start to finish; correct issues before they become rework.
  • Inspection coordination with local jurisdictions.
  • Daily site walks, punch list documentation, and timely resolution before turnover.
  • Weekly job reports submitted to the Project Manager.
  • Clean, orderly, and safe site culture—no exceptions.
  • Capture field-driven plan changes for as-built documentation.
  • Additional duties as needed to keep the project moving.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in construction (industrial, residential, and/or commercial).
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Construction Management degree is a plus; proven field leadership is what counts most.
  • Clear communicator with a strong sense of accountability to the team and the work.

What This Company Offers You

  • Investment in your long-term growth—professionally and personally.
  • A people-first, family culture where you’re known by name.
  • Stable, meaningful work backed by decades of success—not project-to-project uncertainty.
  • Hands-on support from experienced leaders and a collaborative field team.
  • Active commitment to the communities where you live and work.
