Our innovation combines CT preprocessing, fluoroscopy preprocessing, AI-driven detection and tracking, anatomical landmark detection, and personalized DRR-based network training with cutting-edge registration protocols. We operate with a small, highly skilled in-house engineering team, supplemented by specialized contractors across several continents.

 

 

Cara Medical (https://www.cara-medical.co/) is a rapidly growing "Software as Medical Device" startup that develops an innovative solution to noninvasively visualize the cardiac conduction system. Our technology personalizes and optimizes pacing and structural heart procedures.  Cara received Breakthrough Device designation from the FDA, and we have recently achieved FDA clearance to market the device in the US. We are currently running clinical studies in sites in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.

Cara is looking to hire a Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) based in Florida who will report to the Clinical Studies Manager. The FCE will be responsible for supporting procedures performed at the clinical sites, will be Cara's primary point of contact for the sites' clinical team and will contribute to data collection and development of the Cara software. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze/annotate computed tomography angiography (CTA) images
  • Support sites participating in clinical trials for the Cara System, including installation, case support, and data collection.
  • Be accountable for day-to-day operations of the study(ies), ensuring adherence to study protocol, ICH/GCP, and other applicable regulations.
  • Serve as primary Sponsor contact for the clinical sites.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the relevant therapeutic areas, indications and standard of care protocols.
  • Establish strong relationships with site investigators and other KOLs.
  • Conduct periodic site visits (engagement and management), as needed.
  • Provide feedback for development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field; advanced degree in a health-related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the medical device arena
  • 3+ years of clinical research and/or field clinical specialist
  • Experience using Mimics
  • Familiarity with catheter lab environment
  • Excellent written and oral English communication
  • Good technological and software skills
  • Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy, cardiac imaging/CT and use of multiplanar reformatting Basic understanding of ECG
  • Experience using Excel
  • Willingness to travel often (might include overseas travel)
