Full-time Field Automation Tech/Programmer position based in Midland, TX.
Requirements include in-depth knowledge of Allen-Bradley's Studio Suite (RS500, RS5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk ME Suite, CCW, Drive Executive), with the ability to develop PLC and HMI programs from scratch.
Basic programming skills in Python, Java, HTML, and Adobe are necessary, along with experience in data collection and signaling protocols such as MQTT, 4-20mA, 0-10v, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
Familiarity with cellular modems (Cradlepoint, Sierra Wireless, Pepwave), serial communication, networking, IP/MAC addressing, port forwarding, VPNs, and wireless systems is required.
Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and willing to spend at least 50% of time in the field performing service calls.
Additional requirements include willingness to be on call monthly, work long hours/weekends, interact professionally, and maintain a clean driving record.
Preferred education is a Bachelor’s degree.
