Role: Field Assistant
Location: Odessa, TX
Type: Contract
Travel: Approximately 10%–40%, based on operational needs.
Pay Rate: $22–$28/hour on W2 (Inclusive all)

Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Field Assistant to support warehouse and field operations for drill bit services. This position is ideal for recent Business or Sales graduates looking to begin a career in the energy industry, as well as candidates with experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling. The role offers a clear growth path into a customer-facing Sales position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including:
    • Inventory management
    • Shipping and receiving
    • Warehouse/shop organization and cleanliness
  • Support field operations by:
    • Delivering drill bits to drilling rigs and customer locations
    • Meeting and assisting field personnel as required
  • Load and unload equipment using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Perform manual handling and lifting of drill bits weighing 60–400 lbs.
  • Complete required Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training and internal software training.
  • Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Assist with additional warehouse and field support activities as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent graduate with a Business or Sales degreeOR
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory management, logistics, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 400 lbs (with appropriate equipment/team assistance where applicable).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel 10%–40% based on business needs.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience.
  • Experience supporting field operations or industrial environments.
  • Customer service or sales-related experience.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in technical sales or field operations.
